Globalization and the Electronics Industry

In the early 1900s, technological advances helped to accelerate the process of globalization. In days gone by, relaying messages across borders took weeks or months. But the telegraph and telephone made it possible for people to communicate in seconds. Address globalization and the electronic industry with online tutoring sessions.

As a result of the airplane, international travel became much faster. Communication devices like the radio prevented people from listening to the news across the world in real-time. Keep in mind, however, that today we do not refer to this as globalization. We gained our current state of globalization by crossing the early 1900s. Many of the global processes were still one-dimensional, making it difficult to have a collective worldwide integration. So, it was the advancement of information technology that contributed to globalization in the latter part of the 20th century. Various global markets that comprise globalization integrate through information technology.

Globalization and the Electronics Industry:

1) Rise of the Personal Computer

The increasing popularity of PCs, which used Microsoft Windows as their operating system. Removed another important barrier to globalization is the number of information individuals could obtain, compose, modify, and distribute. Individuals were able to create their own digital content and share it all over the world through the PC. Almost immediately after it invented, the dial-up modem enabled users to send e-mails using their phone lines.

2) Invention of the World Wide Web

A few years after the creation of the World Wide Web in 1991. The expression became a popular part of the globalization zeitgeist. Before the World Wide Web, the internet connected the globe. But now that individuals have access to the World Wide Web. They are able to post their own digital content anywhere in the world. ‘Packets’ of information sent out through the internet at supersonic speeds. Throughout history, the Web has played a vital role in bridging the gap between the computer and the internet. This gives people the chance to access the internet via the internet instead of the computer.

3) Fiber-Optic Cables

Several months after the first fiber-optic cable system, made from pure glass arranged in bundles. Implemented, digitized packets of information began to travel over them. Fiber-optic cables have a wider spectrum of wavelengths and a greater capacity for sending greater amounts of information than other types of transmission cables. Fiberoptic cables now laid all over the world after the 1996 Telecommunications Act. It felt by telecom companies that the increase in Internet use would give people a clamor for increased speeds and bandwidth power, and they decided to invest in fiber-optic cables. In accordance with the rapid growth in popularity and technological advances in cables, the capacity of these cables increased and as a result, digital content transmitted more easily and at lower costs all over the world.

4) Creation of Work Flow Software

An enterprise resource planning (ERP) system automates business processes and facilitates the flow of information within an organization, including documents, information, and tasks. Workflow software first introduced in the early 1980s in order to allow employees in different locations within an organization to coordinate, manage and design business data that previously had to handled manually within the organization. With the introduction of PCs and the email capabilities that they provide, companies were able to increase their workflow. When the PC and e-mail combined, the workflow was immensely sped up, easier, and more efficient. It all done electronically without anyone ever leaving their desks, as it could all done electronically. With this rapid acceleration of business processes, companies were able to communicate with businesses in other countries, and this helped immensely in the progression of globalization, as well as the rapid acceleration of business processes.

5) Open-Sourcing

Having source code available online enables companies and individuals to share their work with others, and as a result, benefit their software. Among the most popular and widely used open-source tools, owned by IBM and is one of the most widely used. A large number of websites across the world powered by this system and it is responsible for almost two-thirds of each. Globalization is impacted by this because anyone in the world could use or contribute to a certain software package, including those from India, China, or South America. It has become a tool that can be accessed by a number of people from various regions throughout the world.

6) Supply Chaining

The process of creating value for a business through horizontal integration of suppliers, retailers, and customers. One of the best examples of this is Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart does not touch any of its products until they have reached the Wal-Mart store that sold the item. Once the signal is received, the supplier packs the item and ships it to Wal-Mart. Supply chains influence globalization because as supply chains develop, more global standards become necessary, and as standards become more established, they reduce border frictions, which in turn creates a global network of collaboration amongst all companies.

7) Digital, Mobile, Personal and Virtual Movement

Despite the advent of digital cameras, mobile PDAs, cell phones, and personal laptops, the world has become increasingly reliant on technology. People and businesses are becoming increasingly reliant on these kinds of devices. Companies can thus communicate with their clients and employees around the world and keep them up-to-date with the latest information about clients or other businesses. Schools can communicate with the students and students and search for online homework help. In addition to the Internet and the Internet of things, there are many other technologies available that you can use to determine how things are changing and how much of an impact they are having on globalization and business.

Conclusion

I should summarize that information technology has become the central driver of globalization and is now tightly integrated into the plans and strategies of organizations. By implementing information technology, organizations can take advantage of the opportunities offered by the global market. The use of information technology can be used by organizations to develop global strategies that will enable them to compete sustainably in a global environment and to maintain their competitive advantage.
